It's always interesting to compare wines from the different vineyards, and the 2022 Dits del Terra is unusually floral and silky. The Cariñena vines planted 60 years ago at 300 meters above sea level are south-facing, and the wine achieved 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.7. This was quite surprising, a warmer place in a warmer year delivered a more elegant, fresh, floral and aromatic wine. Cariñena can sometimes surprise you like that. It matured in concrete and is nicely textured with fine-grained tannins, with grip, energy and balance. It's a surprising version of this wine that transcends the character of the year. 4,516 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023.

A well-rounded, lively and seductive red showcasing forest berries, warm herbs, dried flowers and a touch of sweet spices. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Quite dense with layers and a subtle touch on the palate. An energetic kick of peppercorns brings vibrancy and freshness. Velvety with a bright, crisp stream of wild strawberries mingling with the stony influence and the spices. Lively and full of verve with a long finish. Drink or hold.
