The fully ripe 2021 Riesling Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese ** (White Capsule) is pure, intense and flinty on the concentrated, iodine, crystalline and lovely fruity but most of all delicate nose. The fascinating complex bouquet is followed by tight yet intensely saline and concentrated fruit on the palate that leads to a saline and savory, very elegant and mouth-tickling finish. This is another classy 2021 Riesling from Molitor whose finesse and filigree but persistent structure is outstanding. It's not really weightless but kind of. 11% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. 95/100

For just 11% alcohol this is a truly astonishing dry white wine, regardless of the grape variety or region. Stunning intensity of wet stone minerality with an acidity that feels like its literally vibrating on your palate, both married to a deep and subtle white peach character. Then comes the mystery of the cool and dark finish, where it doesn’t want to let go. Drink or hold. 97/100
