The 2016 Aquilón was creamy, heady and oaky, just a year younger than the 2015 but with similar parameters and profile, heavily marked by the élevage of two years in new oak. The fruit is ripe and the wine full-bodied and with a warm alcoholic finish. Give it some more time in bottle to calm down a little. For fans of heady and oaky reds. 5,546 bottles were filled in August 2018.

A rich and compact garnacha that shows some melted chocolate and roasted chestnuts to the blueberries and red-berry fruit. Medium to full body on the palate with juicy berries and fine-grained tannins. More opulent than most, but not overdone. Long, juicy and expressive finish despite the 16% alcohol. Drink or hold.

This garnet-colored wine offers aromas of black currant, black raspberry and black licorice, with just a touch of charcuterie. The fruit flavors shine through with subtle notes of crushed violet. It has soft tannic structure, with a pleasant bit of grippiness in the post palate as it leads up to the long, long, finish.

Estilo, opulento. Color, cereza muy intenso. Aroma, muy tostado (torrefactado), café aromático, potente, fruta negra, fruta madura. Boca, persistente, taninos maduros.
