It's always interesting to compare wines from the different vineyards, and the 2022 Dits del Terra is unusually floral and silky. The Cariñena vines planted 60 years ago at 300 meters above sea level are south-facing, and the wine achieved 13.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.7. This was quite surprising, a warmer place in a warmer year delivered a more elegant, fresh, floral and aromatic wine. Cariñena can sometimes surprise you like that. It matured in concrete and is nicely textured with fine-grained tannins, with grip, energy and balance. It's a surprising version of this wine that transcends the character of the year. 4,516 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023.

Touches of iodine, dark minerals and mussel shells to the fresh black fruit, blueberries, dried flowers and dried herbs on the nose. Good depth of flavor unwinds effortlessly on the palate, with a medium to full body and fine tannins. A beautiful Priorat that’s so attractive now, but can hold well. Drink or hold.
